TOM TRIPP AURELIA

Absolutely everything you’ll hear in ‘Aurelia’ has been played, written, recorded and produced by 21-year-old Tom Tripp, the newest artist to emerge from London’s seemingly incomparable music scene. It’s clear that this newcomer has a knack for creating sensational vibes through his fresh vocals, rhythmic guitars, and atmospheric synths which constantly seem to be changing in tone and key. It’s a feat of domestic production, with a dizzying array of samples and beats which are at times hard to separate out, but together create a smooth indie-R&B-electronic track in the image of Ben Khan, Jai Paul and A.K.Paul. What’s even more impressive is that ‘Aurelia’ is a demo, his second in fact following a darker approach in ‘T.A.M.’ We’re not sure where Tripp plans to take his apparently unfinished output yet, aside from perhaps a little mixing, but we’re incredibly excited to hear the final cut. - HT
